Oosterscheldekering
The Oosterscheldekering (Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier) is the largest of the thirteen dams and barriers that make up the Delta Works, protecting the Netherlands from flooding from the North Sea. The kering is 9 km (5.6 mi) long and was completed in 1986. The Delta Works as a whole were designed in response to the 1953 North Sea flood.
De Oosterscheldekering is de langste van de dertien Deltawerken die Nederland tegen overstromingen vanuit de Noordzee beschermen. De kering is 9 km lang en is voltooid in 1986. De Deltawerken als geheel ontstonden als antwoord op de Watersnoodramp van 1953.

Nolet Mill -- Noletmolen
At 42.5 meters, the Nolet Mill in Schiedam is the tallest brick mill in the world. It was completed in 2006 and it is actually a wind turbine instead of a traditional windmill. It generates electricity for the Nolet Distillery.
Met 42,5 meter is de Noletmolen in Schiedam de hoogste bakstenen molen ter wereld. Hij is gebouwd in 2006 en is eigenlijk een windturbine in plaats van een gewone windmolen. De Nolet produceert stroom voor de Noletdistilleerderij.

Ringebu Stave Church
July 8, 2004. The Ringebu Stave Church (Ringebu Stavkyrkje) in Oppland, Norway dates back to the 13th century, though most of the current building stems from circa 1630. Stave churches were a common type of church in medieval Scandinavia. Today, only about thirty stave churches still survive in Norway.
