The ALMA basecamp is situated at 2900 meters altitude, where conditions are more hospitable to the astronomers and engineers operating the telescope every night. Proving that conditions are hospitable to animals as well, this donkey passed by right outside the ALMA control room to nibble on some of the shrubs.
